The Fifth Act
The desire to make independant shows, was in 2008 the reason to found an active organisation, that autonomously initiates projects and also realizes complete theater productions.
'The Fifth Act' has since become a compact collective of theatre craftsmen from The Hague. We make theatre and initiate cultural and social projects, in which the unfortunately 'oppressed' stories of real people, or forgotten characters from dramatic literature, are brought into the spotlight.
Because of the production and business direction by Sarah de Bruijn, theatre maker Annemarie de Bruijn can fully focus upon the artistic content of her practice, which has already led to a significant and cohesive oeuvre, that even evokes appreciation outside The Netherlands.
Together they are responsible for the daily management of The Fifth Act, supported by a solid board with a sturdy dose of knowledge and experience.
